eHelp connects people, often in person. We build tools to make that safer, and we are honest about what they can and cannot do.
What eHelp does
- Payments stay on eHelp: the customer pays first and eHelp holds the money until the work is confirmed. Attempts to move payment off eHelp are detected, blocked or reported.
- Identity checks (optional): a member can have their government ID checked by eHelp. The badge means the name and ID were checked at that time; it is not a background check.
- Reviews and reputation: based on completed tasks, one counted review per reviewer.
- Reporting and blocking: report anyone or anything; block anyone. Reports are private.
- Moderation: people review reports and safety signals and can remove content, restrict or close accounts.
- Disputes: if paid work goes wrong while eHelp holds the money, we decide what happens to it.
What eHelp does not do
- eHelp does not guarantee anyone's identity, qualifications, behaviour or the quality or safety of any work.
- eHelp does not run criminal background checks.
- eHelp is not an emergency service and does not provide medical care.
Staying safe
- Keep conversations and payments on eHelp.
- Check profiles, badges and reviews before agreeing work.
- For in-person help, share only the address details that are needed, when they are needed. Consider meeting in a public place first, and tell someone you trust where you will be.
- Trust your instincts. You can cancel, block and report at any time.
- Never share passwords, one-time codes, card numbers or bank passwords with anyone.
If you feel unsafe
If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. In India, dial 112. Then report the member or content on eHelp, and block them if you do not want further contact. For account or payment safety issues, contact the Support Center and choose Safety.
