This policy explains what personal data eHelp collects, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to eHelp.xyz and its related services, operated by Solutionever Technologies.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address, username and a securely hashed password (we can never read your password).
- Profile: what you choose to add, such as your photo, headline, bio, skills, languages, availability, city and the categories you help with.
- Approximate location (optional): if you share it, we round it to about 1 km before storing it and use it only for matching and distance. Your coordinates and postal code are never shown to others.
- Activity: help requests, services, offers, tasks, bookings, community posts and comments, reviews and replies, reports you make, and messages you send to other members.
- Payments: amounts, fees, payment and refund status. Card and bank payments are handled by our payment processor; eHelp does not receive or store your full card details.
- Payouts: the payout method you give us (UPI ID or bank account). It is stored encrypted and shown to staff only when needed to make a payout.
- Identity verification (optional): the name on your ID, the ID type and the last 4 characters of its number. The photo of your ID is stored encrypted only until it has been reviewed, then deleted.
- Support, disputes, appeals and privacy requests: what you tell us and any files you attach.
- Security logs: sign-ins and important account actions, with IP address and browser type, to protect your account and the platform.
- How you found us (optional): if you arrive through a campaign link (for example one with "utm_source") or a member's invite link, we note the campaign labels, the page you landed on and the referring website, and which member invited you. We do not collect your IP address or a device ID for this.
- Cookies: only the cookies described in the Cookie Policy.
Why we use it
- To run your account and the features you use.
- To match people who need help with people who can help, and to show distance.
- To process payments, refunds, payouts, invoices and tax records.
- To keep members safe: detecting scams and attempts to take payment off eHelp, handling reports, disputes and appeals.
- To send you notifications you can control in your settings, and important account and safety notices.
- To understand which campaigns and invitations bring people to eHelp, and to check referral rewards are fair (for example, that someone did not invite themselves).
- To meet legal obligations and to protect our rights and the rights of others.
What other members can see
Your public profile shows your name, username, photo, headline, bio, city or region, skills, languages, availability, badges, reviews and public activity such as services, requests and community posts. Other members never see your email address, postal code, coordinates, payout details, identity documents, reports about you or internal notes.
Messages are visible to the people in the conversation. eHelp staff do not browse conversations. When a message is reported, staff see the reported message and up to two messages before it.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that help us run eHelp, such as hosting, email delivery and payment processing (currently Razorpay for payments and, if automatic payouts are switched on, RazorpayX for payouts). They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- An AI provider, only when AI-assisted features are switched on (see "AI-assisted features" below).
- Google Fonts, which serves the site's typeface: your browser requests it directly, which shares your IP address and browser details with Google.
- Other members, as described above.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or when it is necessary to protect someone's safety.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
AI-assisted features
Some optional features use an external AI service to make suggestions: drafting a help request or offer from your own words, suggesting search filters, improving a listing or post, answering questions in the Support assistant, and helping our team spot possible scams or policy problems.
- What is sent: only the text needed for that suggestion (for example the sentence you typed and the list of categories). Before anything is sent, eHelp removes email addresses, phone numbers, UPI IDs, bank and card numbers, identity numbers, one-time codes, passwords, exact locations and payment links. Your name, contact details, payout details, identity documents, risk information and internal notes are never sent.
- What AI does not do: AI never publishes, sends, pays, refunds, decides disputes, verifies identity, ranks paid placements or restricts accounts. A person always decides. Safety signals from AI are reviewed by our team before any action.
- What we keep: a record that a suggestion was requested (feature, time, whether it was used), without the text. Short, redacted excerpts are kept only if our team turns logging on, for at most the retention period shown in our settings (1 day for support and safety).
- The provider: the AI provider processes the text to produce the suggestion under its terms. If eHelp uses a provider's free tier (for example Google Gemini's free tier), the provider may also keep the text to improve its own services and its staff may review it; this is why only filtered text is sent. You can always use eHelp without these features: every AI suggestion is optional.
How long we keep it
We keep data while your account is open and as long as needed for the purposes above. Some records must be kept after an account is closed, for example payment, refund, payout and invoice records, legal acceptance records, security logs and moderation records. Exact retention periods will be set after legal review and are managed in our data retention settings.
Your choices and requests
From the Privacy Center you can see what is public and private, download a copy of your data, and ask us to correct or delete data or answer a privacy question. We will explain if some data has to be kept, and why. You can also change your profile and notification settings at any time.
Security
We use measures such as encrypted connections, hashed passwords, encrypted storage for payout details, identity photos and private files, access controls and audit logs. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
eHelp is not for people under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. Every version is kept in the version history, and we will tell you about important changes.
