These terms apply when you hire someone or are hired through eHelp. They add to the Terms of Service.
How paid work happens on eHelp
There are three ways to agree paid work:
- Paid help request: a customer posts what they need and a budget; providers make offers; the customer chooses one.
- Service: a provider lists a service with a price; a customer requests it; the provider accepts.
- Custom offer: in a conversation, a provider sends an offer with a price; the customer accepts it.
Each agreed job becomes a task. The customer pays eHelp first, eHelp holds the money while the work is done, and the money is released to the provider when the work is confirmed.
Customer responsibilities
- Describe what you need honestly, including anything that affects safety or price.
- Pay through eHelp only.
- Give the provider reasonable access and information to do the work.
- Confirm completion when the work is done, or say clearly what is missing.
- Leave honest reviews based on your real experience.
Provider responsibilities
- Describe your service, price, skills and experience honestly.
- Only offer work you are legally allowed and able to do, including any licence, registration or insurance your work needs.
- Do the work as agreed, safely and on time, or tell the customer early if you cannot.
- Keep payment on eHelp. Never ask for advance payment, cash, UPI or bank transfers outside eHelp.
- Follow applicable laws, including any tax obligations on your earnings.
Payment through eHelp
Payments, fees, held money, releases and payouts are explained in the Payments and Billing Terms.
Task completion
Both sides confirm when work is complete. If the provider marks the work complete and the customer does not respond, the task may be confirmed automatically after the period shown on the task page, but never while a dispute is open.
Reviews
After paid work, both sides can review each other. See the Review Policy.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations and refunds follow the Refund and Cancellation Policy. The task page shows what would happen before you cancel.
Disputes
If something goes wrong while eHelp still holds the money, either side can open a dispute. See the Dispute Policy.
Off-platform transactions
Taking or making payment outside eHelp for work found or agreed on eHelp is not allowed. Messages that clearly try to do this may be blocked and are reported automatically. Accounts that do this can be restricted or closed.
Prohibited services
Services listed as prohibited in the Acceptable Use Policy must not be offered or requested. Medical treatment and emergency response are not available on eHelp; see the Emergency and Medical Assistance Disclaimer.
Account restrictions
eHelp may restrict marketplace features (for example creating services, sending offers or receiving payouts) for accounts that break these terms. See the Account Suspension and Termination Policy.
No guarantee
eHelp does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or outcome of any work, or that a member is who they say they are beyond what a badge describes. See the Marketplace Disclaimer.
